Raman Ganguly
Head of Support for Research IT at University of Wien
Raman Ganguly has a professional background in software development and media technology. He heads the IT Support department for research at the central data centre of the University of Vienna. He is responsible for the development and operation of the data management infrastructure. Since 2011 you have been archiving digital data from research and teaching, focusing on long-term availability. He is the technical manager of the open-source archiving system Phaidra developed at the University of Vienna and the technical coordination for the international network of Phaidra consisting of 21 institutions. Raman Ganguly advises academic libraries on technical issues related to data management. He is a lecturer in the university course Data Librarian and Data Steward.
